Description

Thermon SafeTrace® BTS Steam Tracer
Personnel-Safe Steam Tracing for Industrial Process Heating
The Thermon SafeTrace® BTS is a high-performance steam tracer designed to provide reliable process temperature maintenance while significantly reducing the risk of accidental personnel burns. Unlike conventional bare steam tracer tubing, SafeTrace BTS incorporates a high-temperature polymer safety jacket over a metallic tracer tube, delivering enhanced operator protection without compromising thermal performance.
SafeTrace BTS is an ideal solution for industrial facilities where operators regularly work around steam-traced piping and equipment, combining process efficiency with improved workplace safety.

Product Overview
SafeTrace BTS consists of a copper or stainless steel tracer tube covered by a specially engineered high-temperature yellow polymer jacket.
The protective jacket acts as a thermal barrier that helps reduce the surface temperature of the tracer, minimizing burn hazards for maintenance personnel while maintaining excellent heat transfer to the process pipe. The distinctive safety yellow color also provides immediate visual identification of steam tracing systems in accordance with ASME/ANSI A13.1 identification practices.
