Sample Cooler

PDFPrintEmail
This type tube-in-tube sample water coolers can be used specific in high pressure sample in combination with high pressure cooling fluid.

Liquid and gas analysers need a sample in a specific temperature range. When this temperature is different from your process temperature, a sample cooler is sometimes required.
Manufacturer: Thermon

  Sample Cooler

Mechatest sample coolers - Herpi steam cooler - helical coil coolers

Helical Coil Water Coolers

The helical coil cooler (heat exchangers) cools a sample from a process stream. Typical design with spiral small diameter tube and shell heat exchanger accordingly to ASME PTC 19.11. The sample to be cooled flows through the tube side of the cooler, and the cooling fluid flows through the shell side. We offer Herpi and Sentry helical coil coolers.

Applications to max. 540°C (higher on request).

Available with coils in Inconel, Monel or other Alloys for high Chloride content cooling water or high chemical samples.

===

  • Flows from 1 L/hr to 340 L/h
  • Pressure ratings up to 345 bar (5,000 psi)
  • Temperature ratings up to 593°C (1100°F)
  • Available using single tube helical coil, multi-tube spiral tube, or tube-in-tube heat exchanger designs.
  • Sample tube/coil materials, SS304, SS316/316L or S.Duplex, Alloy 625 / 825 (Inconel), Monel 400, Hastelloy C276
  • Tube/coils in 6 mm or 1/4" and 1/2" OD
  • Specific water chemistry could dictate different materials for improved corrosion resistance, e.g. Alloy 600 for high chlorides in the cooling water.
  • Sample coolers with NACE MR0175 or NACE MR0103 standards for sour gas or liquid (H2S) applications.

Tube-in-Tube Water Coolers

Tube-in-tube cooler (heat exchangers) are spirally wound, full counter flow heat exchangers well suited for a variety of applications where low flow rates of high temperature and/or high pressure fluids need cooling or heating. Also known as DTC (dual tube coil). We offer  Sentry tube-in-tube coolers.

Forced airflow fluid sample coolers - airfin cooler air fin

Forced Airflow Coolers

The Airfin cooler is available in natural convection and forced air fin designs with a cooling area of 2.5 m² (26.8 ft²).

Lower operating costs ensured by air-cooling technology that eliminates water treatment and disposal.

Improved reliability with cooling water-free design, which prevents accidental shutoff and winter freeze-up. Minimal installation and maintenance costs with unit design that requires less piping and is less susceptible to fouling.

Custom Made Water Coolers

The helical coil water cooler (heat exchangers) cools a sample from a process stream. Typical custom design with spiral big diameter tube or pipe and open shell heat exchanger.

Cost-effective application flexibility with multiple corrosion-resistant material options for the coil and shell construction

Sample Gas Coolers / Conditioning Systems

Electrical cooling system, typical refrigerated and thermoelectric coolers for highest demands of sample gas quality control. Best choice for permanent separation of the condensate from the gas phase, as well as the shorter contact time of the gas in the system, play important roles to measure extreme low concentrations of gas elements.
