Description
Crane DM925G Gearbox Operated Double Regulating Butterfly Valve
Heavy-Duty Butterfly Valve for Flow Balancing and Isolation in HVAC Systems
The Crane Fluid Systems DM925G is a gearbox-operated double regulating butterfly valve (DRV) designed for balancing, isolation, and flow regulation in commercial and industrial hydronic systems. Built with a fully lugged ductile iron body, EPDM liner, and stainless steel disc, the DM925G provides dependable performance in heating, chilled water, and district energy networks. The double regulating gearbox allows the valve to be closed for maintenance and reopened to its original preset position, eliminating the need for system rebalancing.
Key Features
- Gearbox-operated double regulating butterfly valve (DRV)
- Fully lugged ductile iron body with epoxy coating
- Stainless steel disc for corrosion resistance
- EPDM resilient liner for bubble-tight shut-off
- Available in DN50 to DN600
- PN16 pressure rating
- Operating temperature: −10°C to +130°C
- Preset double regulating gearbox maintains balancing position after isolation
- Compatible with external flow measurement equipment for hydraulic balancing
- Suitable for both isolation and balancing duties in HVAC applications
Benefits
Accurate Hydraulic Balancing
The DM925G can be used together with a flow measurement device to accurately balance heating and chilled water circuits. Proper balancing ensures every branch receives the required design flow, improving comfort and reducing pumping energy.
Preset Position Memory
Its double regulating gearbox allows the valve to be fully closed for maintenance while preserving the original balancing setting. Once maintenance is complete, the valve can be reopened directly to the preset position without recommissioning the system.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The fully lugged ductile iron body, stainless steel disc, and EPDM liner provide long service life, excellent sealing performance, and resistance to corrosion, making the valve suitable for demanding HVAC installations.
Typical Applications
The Crane DM925G is widely used in:
- Commercial office buildings
- Hospitals
- Hotels
- Shopping centres
- District heating and cooling systems
- Data centres
- Universities
- Industrial chilled water systems
- HVAC plant rooms
- Large hydronic distribution networks
